Aqua Adventure Charters is a family owned and operated Maui snuba & snorkeling vessel.
Mike, Gay, Dan, & Lynette have been in the snorkeling and diving business around Maui waters for years. Mike and Dan were captains for another vessel. Gay, Mike’s wife, was the first mate and Lynette, Dan’s wife, had been doing underwater videography.
After all these years we decided that we could offer something better. We all had been working on large (149 passenger) snorkel boats and felt that we were losing touch with the personal service and the one-on-one interaction that our passengers needed and deserved.
Our answer to this was to downsize and get back to individual attention, instruction and service. This goes against the current trend of larger boats carrying as many passengers as possible.
Thus the Aqua Adventure was born.
After extensive research, Mike and Dan found a boat builder with exactly Aqua Adventure Charters needs in mind. Basically, we had the boat built using our years of experience and understanding of what our passengers wanted. A 50 foot, high speed, snorkel and snuba diving vessel customized to our respects for detail.
Even though we are now the owners, we are still the operators.
Captain Darryl (our other brother Darryl) joined us in August 2004. Captain Darryl is a born and raised Maui boy with 30 years experience working on Maui waters. Not only does he share our love for what we do, but he has also been a close friend of the Aqua Adventure Family for 20 years. We are very happy to have him with us.
Mike and Dan are also captains, and Dan also answers the email. Gay will not only be answering the phones, she will be our first mate and Lynette is the onboard videographer to supply you with that perfect memory of your excursion.
And finally, who would forget snuba chick and scuba instructor, Anne.
Anne has been with the Aqua Adventure family from day one. Anne started first with us as crew, then moved up to first mate and is now a snuba instructor too. Before we know it, she will be Captain Anne and be kicking Mike and Dan off the boat. Anne is also one great blues singer and if you are lucky, you might catch her singing at one of the local happy hours.
Alexia Kai, Dan & Lynette's daughter, is the newest addition to the Aqua Adventure family. She joined us on March 30th 2005 and will be out there crewing before you know it!
